Anjun Hassan, MD

Associate Professor, Pathology and Immunology

Anjun Hassan’s past research involved work on small lymphocytic leukemia, a project that eventually involved setting up the system for direct sequencing of immunoglobulin genes from paraffin sections. Another focus of her previous research involved studying the pathogenesis of multiple myeloma, a pilot study to optimize Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) detection of RAS mutations in archival material in the Department of Pathology and Immunology and correlating that with t(4;14) and t(11;14) in established myeloma cases. Hasan’s current research consists mainly of translational projects with a focus on B- cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma and research related to reviews and updates of previously authored book chapters.
